Jakarta, 17 December 2025 — ARCH:ID officially marked the beginning of its journey toward ARCH:ID 2026 with the Soft Launch of the ARCH:ID 2026 International Conference & Road to ARCH:ID, held on Thursday, 17 December 2025, at The Dharmawangsa Hotel, Jakarta. The evening gathering brought together architects, industry leaders, brands, and stakeholders for an exclusive introduction to the vision, programs, and collaboration opportunities leading up to Indonesia’s leading architecture forum and trade exhibition.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from The Dharmawangsa Hotel, followed by keynote addresses from Ar. Georgius Budi Yulianto, IAI, AA, Chairman of the Indonesian Institute of Architects (Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia), and Ar. Firman S. Herwanto, IAI, Director of ARCH:ID 2026 Program. Both emphasized ARCH:ID’s role as a collaborative platform that connects architectural discourse, industry innovation, and public engagement.
“Through the Road to ARCH:ID, we will invite architects from each city to share their interpretations of the Skema Sintesa theme. This roadshow across multiple cities also opens up opportunities for brands to collaborate directly with local architects in each city,” said R. Arief Sofyan Rudiantoro, CIS Exhibition Project Director.
A dedicated session led by the ARCH:ID 2026 curators: Ar. Afwina Kamal, IAI; Ar. Trianzani Sulshi, IAI; and Ar. Dhanie Syawalia, IAI, who introduced the ARCH:ID 2026 vision while outlining strategic collaboration opportunities between brands and architects. The discussion highlighted how cross-sector partnerships can translate ideas into innovative booth designs and immersive exhibition experiences that go beyond conventional display formats.
The ARCH:ID 2026 International Conference was then presented by Ar. Prima Abdullah, IAI, outlining the conference framework, themes, speaker direction, and participation details. This was followed by the presentation of Road to ARCH:ID 2026 by R. Arief Sofyan Rudiantoro and Novita Herawati, introducing the nationwide pre-event series and its strategic role in engaging architecture communities in other provinces.
“In this conference, we are not solely focused on discussions around urban issues or architecture. We also invite speakers from across disciplines, whose perspectives will be insightful and valuable for us to explore,” said the Conference Team Representative, Ar. Prima Abdullah, IAI.
About ARCH:ID 2026 International Conference
Aligned with the curatorial theme “Skema Sintesa: Arsitektur Keterlibatan” (Synthesis Scheme: Architecture of Engagement), the ARCH:ID 2026 International Conference positions architectural practice as a collaborative ecology, where disciplines intersect and knowledge flows across boundaries.
The two-day conference will be structured into:
- Day 1: Urban & Architecture Forum, focusing on urban-scale challenges and interdisciplinary discourse.
- Day 2: Architecture Forum, highlighting architecture’s role at the human scale and its impact on everyday life.
The ARCH:ID 2026 International Conference announces its first confirmed speakers, bringing together leading voices from architecture and multidisciplinary practices. Road to ARCH:ID 2026 is a nationwide pre-event program designed to bring the ARCH:ID spirit to key cities across Indonesia, commencing in Bali on 10 January 2026, followed by Surabaya on 28 January 2026, Makassar on 4 February 2026, Bandung on 7 March 2026, and concluding in Jakarta on 7 April 2026. Serving as an early engagement platform ahead of the main event in April 2026, Road to ARCH:ID aims to inspire regional communities, share knowledge, and build momentum for ARCH:ID 2026.

The IAI was officially established on September 17, 1959, in Bandung.
